The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT), Nyesom Wike has expressed interest in meeting and partnering with the Mayor of Istanbul on industrialization and other development initiatives of Abuja.
Wike disclosed this in Abuja on Thursday when he received in a courtesy visit a team of Turkish investors, led by the Managing Director of Zeberced Construction Company, Mr Ayil Kurt.
The Minister noted that he would like to exchange ideas with the Mayor of Istanbul and officials on housing, roads, energy, and ICT.
He also stated that he would like to replicate in Abuja the Green Industrial Park for job creation and economic expansion.
Wike also urged the Turkish investors to collaborate with the Abuja Investment Company Limited, to see areas where the administration could provide more assistance for them to deepen their investments.
Earlier in his remarks, Ayil Kurt said the Turkish investors were interested in promoting President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on industrialization.
Kurt noted that the Investors are interested in fostering international partnerships for industrialization in Nigeria, particularly in the context of an industrial park and local business development.
He encouraged the Minister to support collaboration between the Istanbul municipality and FCT to create a synergistic environment for industrial growth, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda.
