The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has finally revealed why he asked Permanent Secretaries to bow before President Bola Tinubu.
New Telegraph had earlier reported that there was mild drama when the Minister asked the Permanent Secretaries to bow prostrate for President Tinubu during one of the inaugurations of the projects in the Federal Capital Territory.
The development was, however, greeted with a series of criticism on social media as users berated the former governor of Rivers State for such an act.
Speaking on the development on Thursday during the commissioning of the seventh FCT project as part of activities marking Tinubu’s one year in office, Wike explained that he asked the secretaries to bow to the president because he helped them to attain the peak in their careers.
The Minister argued that it is an honour to bow before the nation’s leader and condemned those criticising his action.
