Wanted Gangster Apprehended In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested and detained five teenagers known as Shila Boys, a group notorious for robbing residents of their goods, primarily phones and small electronics.

Confirming the development in a statement issued on Wednesday, the State Command spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje said the five had been on their wanted list for some time now.

According to him, the suspects were apprehended during normal operations at criminal hideouts and black spots, including Yola Market, Wuro Hausa, and Damare in Yola Town, Yola South Local Government Area.

“Those arrested were on the wanted list of the Command for Shilla gangsterism. They are currently under investigation to ensure that the law takes its course,” the statement said.

The command requested the public to assist in the fight against Shila Boys by remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity.

“If you see something, say something; and the police will do something,” the Command said.
