Controversial social media critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman on Thursday revealed the last chat the late Nollywood actor, Junior Pope sent to him, expressing regret for not replying before he died.

New Telegraph had last week reported that Junior Pope died alongside other crew members in a boat accident in River Niger, Asaba, Delta State on their way back from a movie shoot.

Speaking on the development, Verydarkman revealed that before his demise, in February 2024, Junior Pope had sent him a message which had an urgency to it.

The late actor had told him that he wanted to talk to him about something, as one man to another.

But Verydarkman said that he had read the message but didn’t reply. He had simply screenshotted it and did nothing.

He expressed that he now regrets doing that, and should have responded to him if he had known something like this would happen.

Verydarkman wrote; “I regret and feel bad for ignoring jnr Pope DM,! feel more worse when I look at these videos online, how they took him to the native doctor instead of the hospital.

“How the testimonies from the eyewitnesses doesn’t make sense, the yeye Fanta sacrifice, the guy that said he called his spiritual mother before they went on set,…..

“Anyways God gives God takes (nothing makes sense about his kpai and this doesn’t feel like it’s a natural cause”
