ValueJet Cup: Shooting fight for pride against Ikorodu City

Defending champions of the ValueJet pre-season Cup, Shooting Stars, will be seeking to exit the third edition of the competition with atleast a point as they will be facing off against newly promoted Ikorodu City that top Group A in the final group game of the tournament.

After losing their first two games against Sudanese champions, Al-Merrikh, and Remo Stars B, the Oluyole Warriors will want to depart the competition with their head high.
Also, Al-Merrikh who will be seeking a slot in the semifinal will have to get a win against Remo B with two of Ikorodu City (four points), Remo B (four points) and Al-Merrikh (three points) making the final four.

In Group B, Nigeria National League side, Ijebu United, on Saturday revived their chances with a win against Kwara United while it ended 1-1 in the crucial game between Remo Stars and Rivers United.

Rivers United maintained their grip at the top of the table with four points, followed by Ijebu United with three points and Remo Stars on two points after two games.
Rocking the bottom position of Group B is Kwara United who at the moment are on one point.
