Vice President of the United States (US) and Presidential candidate in the November 2024 election, Kamala Harris has announced her plan to legalize marijuana use.
Harris who made this declaration on Monday in an interview said affirmed her support since launching her presidential campaign.

Harris said, “I just feel strongly that people should not be going to jail for smoking weed, We know historically what that has meant and who has gone to jail.”
“We have come to a point where we have to understand that we have to legalize it and stop criminalizing this behavior,
“This is not a new position for me. I have felt for a long time that we have to legalize this behaviour.”
