This comes after Manchester City and Arsenal were eliminated on Wednesday night.
Starting with the upcoming season, the two nations with the best coefficient will receive an additional group-stage spot in the redesigned Champions League.
Two coefficient points are awarded for each win, one for a draw, and zero for a loss.

English clubs were ahead of their German counterparts going into this week’s fixtures, but only on a countback as both nations were tied on the same coefficient points.
