Two Dead, Two Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

Two persons has reportedly lost their lives and two others injured in a car accident at Ibafo, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The accident which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday involve a blue Peugeot bus with the registration number WRA224XA and an orange DAF truck with the registration number ANC711XA.

Florence Okpe, the Ogun state public relations officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed the incident, saying it happened at 5:30 a.m on Tuesday morning.

She further explained that the rescue operation was carried out by a team from FRSC Ibafo Command at Kara .

“Rescue operation was carried out today, Tuesday, 25th June, 2024, by a team from FRSC Ibafo Command at Kara, on a crash that occurred at about 0530hrs

“4 Male adults were involved in the crash. 2 out of the persons involved were killed, while the other 2 were injured.

“The suspected cause of the crash was speed and loss of control, which led to the rear collision of the two vehicles,” she said.

The injured victims were taken to the nearest hospital and the corpses were handed over to the families of the deceased, Okpe said.
