In connection with their suspected use of “Koboko” to fatally flog a 22-year-old to death,  Imole Dauda, 19, and Lateef Tajudeen, 30, were remanded in the correctional centre according to the directives of an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State.

New Telegraph gathered that the two accused were dragged to court over alleged conspiracy and murder.

However, their appeal was denied by Magistrate Oluwabusayo Osho due to lack of jurisdiction and adjourned the case until July 18.

She told the police to send the case file back to the state’s Director of Public Prosecutions so that she could provide guidance.

Earlier, the court was informed by the prosecutor, Inspector Olalekan Adegbite, that the defendants killed someone on May 10 at 8:00 a.m. in Ilupeju, Ibadan.

Adegbite said that by flogging Mr Tosin Adenuga with “Koboko” all over his body, the two illegally caused his death.

He said that the offences contravened sections 516 and 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
