Troops Neutralise One Terrorist, Recover Arms

The Sector 2 Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) of the Nigerian Army has neutralised one terrorist and retrieved many items as part of Operation Lake Sanity 2.

New Telegraph gathered that the operation was conducted on Litri Island, which is located in Central Lake Chad near the Nigerian border.

During the operation, the forces were able to retrieve a number of items, including a mobile phone, two magazines, an AK-47 rifle, and other personal possessions.

The Chief Public Information Officer N’djamena-Chad, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi in signed a statement signed on Wednesday said the neutralisation represents a setback to terrorist capabilities in the region.


To shed light on the achievements, on May 11, 2024, soldiers from 19 Brigade *Sector 3* MNJTF stopped a Boko Haram terrorist logistics operation in the Burwarti region of Kukawa LGA, Borno State, Nigeria.

The statement said that two motorcycles, a Baofeng radio, four bags of millet, and a few other random objects were taken prisoner during the ambush.
