Turkish club, Trabzonspor has said they hope Premier League club, Southampton will soon back down on their 10 Million Euros asking price for Paul Onuachu.
The 30-year-old striker shone on loan with Trabzonspor last season and wishes to extend his stay in Turkey.
Trabzonspor have tabled a club record six million euros for the Super Eagles striker plus a 25% sell-on. However, this is far off the 10million euros Southampton want.
Onuachu was not part of Trabzonspor’s pre-season training camp in Hungary. However, Sports Director Abdullah Avci said that it is not much of a concern and that they will now take their time on the player’s transfer.
“The centre-forward does not necessarily have to be with us in the first week,” he maintained. “The important thing is to bring the right player to the team in the right way and at the right time.”
