
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the incoming President of Nigeria has emphasized the need of maintaining Nigeria’s unity, saying he’s working with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, to that end.
Tinubu who spoke on Wednesday while opening the Raumuokwuta/Rumuola flyover bridge in Port Harcourt thanked the locals for their support and said he had kept his promise to them.
Speaking at the commissioning, the President-elect reeled out his plans to involve state citizens in the development of his policies and repeatedly emphasized the need for national unity.
“I really thank you for being my friend. I’ve fulfilled a promise that I made to you, the people of Rivers State.
“And that’s what I intend to do in all policy formations coming up. I promise Nigerians, the unity of this country is not negotiable.
“That’s what Wike and I are promoting jointly. I promise I’ll be fair to all. ..”, Tinubu said at the gathering.
