To support the businesses of some All Progressives Congress (APC) women members, Oluremi, the wife of President Bola Tinubu, has supplied them with fabrics. The fabrics were brought to the party’s National Secretary in Abuja yesterday by Nana, the wife of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Recall that the APC women leaders from the 36 states and the FCT had recently bemoaned the leadership of the party by decrying that they had only gained a piece of wrapper each since last year’s election. But yesterday Mrs Shetima brought truckloads of fabrics to present to the women. The fabrics, which were distributed to states, according to her, are meant for those in the fabrics business.
The VP’s wife said: “The mother of the nation asked me to extend her greetings to every one of you and to offer a few words of encouragement from her. “I must say that I am one of the beneficiaries of her generosity, because, during the crisis of Boko Haram, Her Excellency was one of the first set of Senators who came to my state to condole with the people of Borno State.”
