President Bola Tinubu has charged the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the Nigerian Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA), Dr Oluremi Ogunyemi to use his election into the Board of World Free Zone Organisation (WFZO) to integrate nation’s economy into the highly rewarding global economic ecosystem.
The President in a congratulatory message to the NEPZA’s boss on his elevation also urged him to seize the moment to burnish the country’s image and showcase the Renewed Hope Agenda on the global stage.
Tinubu who rejoiced with Ogunyemi on his election also described the feat as a significant achievement that made Nigerians proud.
The President noted that Ogunyemi’s election to the board of the international body was a testament to the ongoing reforms. “These reforms are set to reposition the economy, bringing about a brighter future for all Nigerians,” he said.
Tinubu commended the Chief Executive Officer of NEPZA for his bold initiatives in making the institution globally competitive and creating more export platforms by opening up more investment opportunities.
He expressed the belief that Ogunyemi’s election further validated the Renewed Hope Agenda reforms, which were focused on long-term and sustainable growth, by attracting foreign direct investment into the real sector.
