Tinubu To Cut Short France Trip To Swear In Kekere-Ekun As Acting CJN

President Bola Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria to swear in Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) at the council Chambers of Presidential Villa, Abuja, today.

This was disclosed in a release by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, yesterday. Kekere-Ekun will succeed Justice Olukayode Ariwoola who retired after a successful public service career yesterday.

The President congratulated Ariwoola who had served as Justice of the Court of Appeal in Kaduna, Enugu, and Lagos divisions before his elevation to the Supreme Court in 2011.

“President Tinubu commended the eminent jurist for his service to the nation, noting his impactful leadership of the judiciary and his efforts in enriching Nigerian jurisprudence.
