A non-governmental and non-profit organisation, Teens World Foundation, in collaboration with Pluralcode, is set to empower teenagers and single teenage mothers with tech skills. Tagged “Teen Tech Expo 2024”, the program which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, May 28, at the University of Lagos, is aimed at empowering teenagers with the requisite tech skills they need to thrive.
Speaking at a media parley held in Lagos to announce the upcoming “Teen Tech Expo 2024”, the Founder of Teens World Foundation (TWF), Kossy Okonkwo, underscored the imperative of skill acquisition and indeed technology in today’s world, noting that Teens World Foundation is an NGO that supports, mentors, educates and empowers teenagers and single teenage mothers.
“If you look around us today, the age range between 13 and 19, which we likely call the adolescent age, is almost one of the most difficult stages of our lives. At this point, teenagers or people face identity issues as they are just coming out from childhood and are now being introduced to the teenage or adolescent stage where they experience a lot of individuality changes both in their body, mind, etc.”
