Taraba Crisis: Primate Ayodele Asks Residents To Pray For Gov Kefas

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has called on the residents of  Taraba State to pray for Governor Agbu Kefas’ success and embrace peace amid the ongoing crisis in the state.

The cleric made the call on Sunday a few days after the governor filled the post of first class Chief of Takum, which had been unfilled for nearly 28 years.

However, a few tribes have protested the appointment leading to crisis in the state.

Speaking on the development in a statement issued issued by his media aide, Tosin Osho, Primate Ayodele advised the resentful tribes to put aside their differences in support of the new monarch, saying that it would bring joy, happiness, and peace to the state.

He claimed that the governor had good intentions for the state and that these goals were the reason behind his appointment of a first-class Chief of Takum.

He said: ‘’The people of Taraba should embrace Governor Agbu Kefas.

“The issue of the new king must not cause issues because it will bring peace, happiness and joy.

“Anyone who fights about the new king is an enemy of the state. Kefas is God’s project who has come to Taraba to do good for the people.”
