Tambuwal condemns divisive politics

…says Sokoto is home for all Nigerians

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has called for strengthening of ties of unity across the country. The governor, who stated this at the inauguration of a N3.2 billion state-of-theart Sokoto State Advanced Medical Diagnostic Centre (SOSAMEDIC), noted that the state doesn’t discriminate against other Nigerians.

“Whoever lives in Sokoto enjoys the benefit of free education, healthcare and every other service that the state avails its citizens.” Tambuwal in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Muhammad Bello, stressed the need for national cohesion, integration and good governance as against divisive partisan politics. Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa who inaugurated the project, praised the prudent manner the project was executed. Okowa commended Tambuwal for thinking about the people, “because this is a project for the people and one that the people will cherish long after you have left the government as governor.”

He described him as a bridge-builder and prayed for his elevation beyond his present position. “You are a man of peace who is always ready to build bridges. We are very thankful that God has ensured that you have held several positions. My prayers for you are that God will elevate you,” Okowa prayed. SOSAMEDIC, which has reached over 60 per cent completion, gulped N824 million and is equipped with N2.4 billion ultramodern equipment. It has facilities for ECG, echocardiography, vascular Doppler, gastrology, endoscopy, neurology, and EEG.
