Suspected Notorious Kidnapper Arrested In Kogi

Abubakar Ali Damina, a suspected renowned kidnapper who terrorises the residents of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi state, has been apprehended.

New Telegraph gathered that the 43-year-old Damina was apprehended by a combined security operation in Ofodo village, near the Igabada area of the State.

The suspect, who is believed to be from Bida in Niger State, was found with a single-barreled Dane gun and a number of suspicious goods, including charms, a gun firing cap, and local bullets.


During interrogation, the suspect allegedly admitted to involvement in criminal operations in Kogi State.

In reaction to the arrest, Mohammed Aminu, the Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Departmental Security Officer confirmed to New Telegraph on behalf of the council’s boss, Barr. Cosmos Atabor, stating that; the arrest was made on Wednesday.

He explained that the suspect was apprehended at the Kogi State Vigilante Service facility in Igalamela-Odolu and would be handed over to the relevant authorities shortly.
