Sterling HoldCo Engages Directors

Sterling Financial Holdings Company (Holdco) Plc has appointed Ashutosh Kumar as non-executive director and Olayinka David-West as independent non-executive director of its subsidiary, Sterling Bank Limited.

The company explained in statement that Kumar, with over 23 years of banking experience, joined the State Bank of India (SBI) in 2021 and had served in different capacities in the international banking, forex and derivatives, risk management, credit, trade finance, retail banking, performance planning, operations among other departments.

Currently serving as the Country Head and Chief Executive Officer of SBI in South Africa, Kumar’s career spans key areas of banking operations, trade finance, and regulatory compliance.

Kumar, who is versed in regulatory compliance and reporting, obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in economics and certifications as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), certified associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).

Also, David-West joined Sterling Bank Ltd as an independent non-executive director. She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) and the academic advocate to the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

She has about three decades of experience in the information systems and financial services industries.
