Sokoto Youths Shun Protests, Support Govt Efforts To Stem Security Challenges

Concerned group under the aegis of Northern Youth Alliance for Good Governance urged youth to shun and distance themselves from much speculated planned protest.

The State Coordinator of the alliance, Abdurahman Umar Ali stated this during a national press conference on the position of Sokoto youths regarding the so-called planned nationwide protest.

Ali said instead, they resolved to support government efforts to stem the tide of myriad recurring formidable security challenges.

He cautioned the young people who are the future leaders of Nigeria, not to let themselves be used by some sadistic people with sinister motives in order to throw the state, and country into chaos.

he youth should support the government’s policies and programmes so as to ginger the Nation economy and help to alleviate the hardships bedevilling the state, country at large.

The group insisted that the nationwide planned protest would not bring about any good to anybody in this country.

“It will be a bad omen for our state, nation and citizens as it will just blow an ill wind”.

They stressed the need for all to put hands together to support the government’s policies and programmes that will ginger the Nation’s economy, and alleviate the hardship bedevilling Sokoto State, Nigeria as a whole.
