The Sokoto State Police Command has apprehended ten suspected members of a human trafficking and child kidnapping ring as they announced the rescue of 21 kidnapped children.
One of the suspects who is a father was accused of abducting twenty-eight children which six of them are his biological children.
The development followed a well condinated investigation conducted by state police authorities.
The accused were reported to have been operating a human trafficking and child abduction network in Sokoto State for a long time.

While parading the suspects in Sokoto on Thursday, the state Police Commissioner, Hayatu Kaigama, stated that the command, in partnership with the military and vigilantes, rescued three kidnapped victims, including a female lawyer kidnapped last Sunday at her Sokoto residence.
He added they also detained a murder suspect and a person impersonating a deputy superintendent of police.
The commission thanked the state government for its support and reaffirmed its personnel’s commitment to maintaining the rule of law in the state.
