Six Years Anniversary: The Envoy consolidates on its growth, offerings

The Envoy Hotel Abuja clocked six years on the Nigeria market, with a resolve to continue to consolidate on it growth and exceptional hospitality experience it offers guests. This was disclosed by the General Man- ager of the Abuja-based leading Nigeria City Hotel, Dewald Kruger. According to Kruger, ‘‘In the month of March, The Envoy marked its sixth Anniversary. The date stimulated our resolved position to always provide that exceptional hospitality experience to our loyal guests to, not just to make them al- ways come back, but to insist that their friends do business with us after their recommendations.’’

This is as the GM of the hotel, which is under Silk Road Hospitality portfolio, one of Nigeria’s independent hotel management chain, expressed appreciation to its numerous guests and clients for their loyalty and patronage in the last six years. ‘‘Much gratitude to all our special guests for their loyalty as we continue to treat you with royalty. If you are not happy with any area of our ser- vices, kindly let us know. If you are, please, tell others.’’ Kruger also highlighted on some of the activities of the hotel, which included the celebration of Women’s Day in March; with the theme, Inspire Inclusion.

He noted that, ‘‘As part of activities to mark the day, the women at The Envoy were treated to a banquet of choice meals and drinks. The evening of relaxation was flagged off by prayer said by the Manager of Food and Beverage, Mr. Emmanuel Ejeh in the company of the Executive Chef, Joseph Govender and the Finance unit Manager, Mr. Adebayo Akinyemi.’’ The hotel, in addition to this, also host- ed online competition to mark the day, with Kaseina Nkom Dashe, emerging as the winner. ‘‘In addition to the get-togeth- er of the female personnel of The Envoy, our social media followers were invited to send in inspiring stories that aligned with this year’s theme, “inspire inclu- sion,” revealed Kruger. Adding, ‘‘In the end, Kaseina Nkom Dashe emerged the winner with the most likes.

The winning prize was a family weekend get-away at The Envoy. Dashe’s winning entry read; “Ada sat across her wrinkled grandma and wondered what the old woman could possibly know about modern problems of balancing work and family. With an understanding gaze, Mama held her hands and said, “I’ve been there too. I’ve bled and birthed too. I’ve raised kids while running a business too. Different times but similar circumstances  that’s how the thread of womanhood binds us all.’’ Muslim faithful were also celebrated in the month of Ramadan with different and unique offerings just as Christian faithful were offered amazing experience during this year’s Easter celebration by the hotel.


The hotel in the month of April, partly sponsored the yearly International Hospitality, Tourism and Eco-Sustainability Forum (IHTEF) alongside other brands. The conference held in Abuja. Kruger also disclosed that, ‘‘The Envoy Hotel, Abuja has again been nominated for the World Travel Awards (WTA) as Abuja Best Boutique Hotel, 2024. The WTA brings together the industry’s top decision-makers, influencers, and media, making it an essential event to attend. ‘‘The networking opportunities alone are worth ensuring your triumph. The programme, its winners and its sponsors are represented globally on social media, with fresh daily content across multiple platforms.’’
