The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima has arrived in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, for the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL).
New Telegraph reports that Shettima is representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the ceremony scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 6.
The Nigerian Army Day is an annual event held on 6 July to honor the members of the Nigerian Army, particularly those who served in World War I and World War II, as well as those who sacrificed their lives during the Nigerian Civil War.
It is also a day to recognize the currently serving members of the Nigerian Army.

The Vice President was received by the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Bayo Lawal; the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and Governor of Kwara State, Abudlrasaq Abdulrahman, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, and some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), among others.
