Former Kaduna State lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has appealed to the Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, to rescind his decision to withdraw plans of investing in Nigeria’s steel industry.
Sani’s appeal comes amid Dangote Refinery’s row with agents of the government. As a result, Dangote said he would halt his plans to invest in Nigeria’s steel industry to avoid being accused of monopoly.
Dangote made this known while addressing journalists at the refinery on Saturday, saying the company’s board decided against the steel investment to avoid being considered monopolistic

Reacting to the development on his verified X handle, Shehu Sani said Dangote’s investment will create thousands of jobs for young people and help in the industrialization of the country.
“Dear Dangote, I know you are angry, but please rescind your decision not to invest in Nigeria’s steel industry. Your investment will create thousands of jobs for our young people and help in the industrialization of the country.
Don’t mind those old folks. Thank you,” Sani wrote.
