Senator Shehu Sani has described the recent visit of the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar to former President Muhammadu Buhari as ‘trekking in the Sahara’.
Sunday Telegraph had earlier reported that the former Vice President visited Buhari on Saturday, June 22 at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
Atiku was accompanied by the immediate past Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, alongside other PDP stakeholders.

Reacting to the visit in a post shared on his verified X page, Sani said Atiku visiting Daura, Katsina State, was okay if it was for Sallah’s homage.
He, however, said it’s like trekking in the Sahara, if it was a political mission.
Sani wrote: “If the Daura visit is a sallah homage, that’s okay. If it’s a political mission, it’s like trekking in the Sahara.”
