
Nigerian singer, Seun Kuti has shared his stance on monogamy as he noted that monogamy does not work in this part of the world.
According to him, his late father and Afrobeats pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti had 27 wives and over 100 girlfriends.
The controversial singer made this claim while speaking in an episode of the Bad and Boujee podcast with Tolani Baj and Moet Abebe.
When the host asked for his opinion on monogamy, in response Seun said it does not work and powerful men should have more the support of many goddesses given to them by their ancestors.

Seun revealed that apart from Fela’s 27 wives, he also had over 100 girlfriends, many of whom lived with the family in their home.
However, Seun Kuti is publicly known to be married to one woman; Yetunde Kuti has sparked outrage among netizens, especially considering his marital status.
