Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday led members of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) on awareness walk to Badagry.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the awareness walk was in celebration of the 2024 National Women’s Conference (NWC) scheduled to take place on Sept 10 and 11 at Eko Hotel and Suites.

NAN reports that Sanwo-Olu and her entourage visited the First Storey Building, Vrekete night market and Agia Tree where Christmas was first celebrated in Nigeria.

NAN reports that the theme of the 2024 conference is: “Soar Beyond Boundaries – Enriching Communities.” Speaking, Mrs SanwoOlu stressed that the conference provided a platform for women from diverse backgrounds to learn and share knowledge on important issues affecting women.

“NWC is an opportunity to create awareness for quite a number of people living in Lagos, who don’t even understand and explore the beauty and the potential inside of the State.”
