The Ounjè Eko Sunday market, which first launched in March but was temporarily paused after a few weeks, offers significant discounts on staple food items such as rice, beans, gari, bread, eggs, tomatoes, and pepper.
The initiative was originally established across 27 locations in Ikeja, six in Lagos Island, nine in Ikorodu, five in Epe, and ten in Badagry divisions.
With the market’s return, Lagosians can once again benefit from reduced prices on essential food items, a move aimed at easing the economic burden on residents amid rising living costs.
