Within this year’s campaign, the 28 year-old Ivorian international managed to maintain a fine run of form, amassing nine goals and six assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfits.
However, Lens’ hefty price-tag of €35m for the creative play-maker makes it very difficult for Mouirnho’s side to afford Fofana.
As a result, Roma have also kept their tabs open for Bologna holding-midfielder Nico Dominguez, as his contract with the Rossoblu is set to expire in the summer of 2024, making it possible for the Giallorossi to acquire the Argentinian for a quite reasonable fee.
