Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has confirmed that midfielder Rodri will miss the remainder of the 2024-2025 season due to a serious knee injury.
Manchester City received the devastating news that Rodri sustained anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) damage during last weekend’s English Premier League match against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
As a result, the 28-year-old underwent surgery on Friday morning and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Addressing the media, Guardiola stated, “He underwent surgery this morning for ACL and some meniscus damage. Unfortunately, his season is over.
“It’s a tough blow, but it’s part and parcel of the game at this level. Sometimes, these unfortunate incidents occur, and we are fully committed to supporting him during his recovery.”
