The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has endorsed Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the leader of Rivers PDP.
Fubara and his immediate predecessor Nyesom Wike are locked in a fierce battle over the control of Rivers PDP.
The main opposition party’s National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade, who led the NWC on a solidarity visit to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, confirmed Fubara’s leadership yesterday in Bauchi.
He said: “We’re here to also identify with the governor and salute his courage as the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum.
“A lot of trends, a lot of things are going on in our party and we cannot pretend to say that all is very well.
“We’re glad that you and other colleagues of our governor’s you’ve taken the bull by the horns.”
