A group of 35 lawmakers, under the auspices of Reform Minded Legislators, are seeking the amendment of the 1999 constitution for a rotational single-term presidency of 6 years between the North and the South.
The lawmakers are also proposing an alteration to the Constitution to create two vice presidents from the southern and northern parts of Nigeria.
