The House of Representatives has temporarily suspended its plenary session in tribute to the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who passed away during the National Assembly’s annual recess.
New Telegraph recalls that Senator Ubah, the CEO of Capital Oil, passed away after travelling to the UK for a medical procedure.
This gesture follows the long-standing tradition of the National Assembly, where the first sitting is adjourned following the demise of any federal lawmaker.

The House, however, announced that the plenary will reconvene on Wednesday, 25th September.
He was due to celebrate his 53rd birthday on September 3.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, and his passing has been met with an outpouring of tributes and condolences.
As the Senator representing Anambra South in the National Assembly, he was a strong advocate for the people of his constituency and a champion of good governance.
His legacy will be deeply missed, but his contributions to Nigerian politics will never be forgotten.
