Repatriation: Nigeria Welcomes 163 Citizens From Libya

No fewer than 163 Nigerian migrants have been repatriated by the Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) in Libya’s Southern Region.

New Telegraph reports that the repatriated migrants comprising women and children were rescued in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and flown out from Sabha International Airport.

Emphasizing the ongoing efforts to manage and mitigate illegal migration in the region, the Migrant Rescue Watch announced the operation via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

In the post shared on its page, it reads “DCIM (Southern Region) repatriated with IOM support 163 #migrants incl. women and children of Nigerian nationality via Sabha International Airport.”
