Rekindle National Pride, Patriotism, Publisher Tells Nigerians

As Nigerians celebrate the 64th independence anniversary of the country, an Australia-based Nigerian publisher, Obinna Ejianya, has called on the citizens both at home and in the diaspora, as well as political and religious leaders, to rekindle national pride, patriotism and love for God and the country.

The CEO of Nine Communications Nigeria Limited, and the Publisher of 9News Nigeria, in a statement said that rekindling the nation’s pride with a sense of patriotism is essentially what differentiates the advanced countries from the developing or under-developed countries.

He said Nigeria’s diversities should be an unbreak – able bond and strength that should unite Nigerians rather than a tool that divides them, even as he stressed that “we should, like other developed countries of the world, encourage diversity and inclusiveness.”

Obinna, however, stated that the ‘Nigeria Project’ is still an achievable one, if only we could let go of corruption and wickedness and seek the face of God while doing our businesses with all sincerity and honesty.
