Rainstorm: 30 Houses Destroyed In Bauchi

Many residents were rendered homeless over the weekend as 30 houses were destroyed in the Waptan hamlet in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi state.

New Telegraph gathered that the rainstorm ruined both the roofs and buildings of residents in the area, thereby exposing them to the elements.

Confirming the incident, Saminu Abubakar, a legislative aide to the member representing Lere-Bula in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, stated that 30 residential houses have been identified and that steps are being made to assist the affected victims.

He also assured the residents of the area that they would receive quick aid in repairing their homes before the rainy season began.
