The Proprietor of Glorious Bequest Schools, Rev. Wilson Akpugbe, has restated the commitment of the private schools, comprising Nursery & Primary; Junior & Senior Secondary School sections to the provision of qualitative education that will turn out total children.
This is as he also reiterated that the schools would continue to equip the pupils and students with relevant knowledge, skills and lay a solid foundation that would make them fit to face the challenges of the 21st Century. He reiterated this during the 24th Annual Graduation/ Prize-Giving ceremony of the school, located at the highbrow of Apapa, Lagos.
Welcoming guests, including parents and other well-wishers to the event, Akpugbe described the momentous occasion as a milestone in the existence of the schools in view of the remarkable achievements over the years, which he noted culminated from hard work and dedication of the students and teachers.
“Today marked a significant milestone in your lives as you step out into the world equipped and up-skilled with knowledge, skills and a strong foundation laid during your time here at our school,” he said. The Proprietor, however, noted that he has no doubt in his mind that the outgoing students would go into their tertiary institutions, and secondary schools, and particularly to do great exploits and achieve great things, as well as make positive impacts in the larger world.
While counseling the graduating students and pupils to remain good ambassadors of the school, and protect its image wherever they may be, Akpugbe said that they have been properly nurtured and imbued with discipline, and virtues of integrity, hard work, honesty and perseverance, which should remain their core values that will shape their character and behaviour in the society.
“As you embark on this new chapter of your life, remember the lessons you have learned, friendship you made and the challenges you overcame, integrity and perseverance already imbued in you wherever you go, knowing fully well that you have the power to shape your own future and destiny, and more importantly contribute meaningfully to society,” he added.
The proprietor, however, congratulated the outgoing students for the successful completion of their primary and secondary school education, and their parents, saying that “the world awaits your unique talents and contribution to go forth with confidence, passion and a sense of purpose, and hopefully, you all will make us proud.”
