The presidency has debunked the purported reports that a yacht spotted in St. Tropez, France belongs to President Bola Tinubu.
Sunday Telegraph reports that social media speculation claimed that a “presidential yacht” was being used for vacation, but one of the Presidential media aide, Otega Ogra refuted this.
Debunking the claims on his verified X handle on Sunday, Otega Clarified that the yacht belongs to a private individual, not President Tinubu or the Nigerian Navy.

He further explained that the flag on the yacht, featuring a coat of arms, is not used by the president or armed forces.
According to him, luxury yachts often fly the owner’s country flag and registration country flag, but the official Nigerian flag is Green-White-Green without a coat of arms.
The presidency emphasized that placing anything in the center of the flag is a clear deviation.
