Police Nab Gunrunners, Cattle Rustlers, Foil Kidnap Attempt In Kaduna

Police in Kaduna State have arrested two cattle rustlers, two gunrunners, and foiled a kidnap attempt in separate incidents across the state.

Spokesman ASP Mansir Hassan said the arrests were made following a raid on a hideout in the Kasuwa Magani area of Kujama in the Chikun Local Government Area.

According to him, acting on intelligence, they apprehended two suspects, Aminu Saleh (25) and Jafar Ibrahim (24), who confessed to their involvement in cattle rustling.

The suspects also said four other members of their syndicate are still at large. He said the Tracking and Response Team intercepted a kidnap attempt following a report by one Shafiu Abdullahi.

Abdullahi reportedly said he received threatening calls demanding a ransom of N10 million from suspected kidnappers.
