The Kaduna State Police Command on Wednesday confirmed a botched kidnapping attempt on Alhaji Umar Musa, the Paramount Ruler of Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mansir Hassan said the whereabouts of the chief’s wife still remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.
Mansir stated that security personnel have now been dispatched to the forests surrounding Sanga in search of the wife.

The Ninzo Development Association, in a statement signed by its President and Secretary, Prof. Moses Audi and Silas Anche, criticized the planned kidnapping of their traditional ruler, which resulted in the loss of his wife.
The statement, however, appealed for calm in order to allow the administration to fulfil its responsibilities.
