The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, has debunked reports making rounds that Nigerian social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman was arrested.

Sunday Telegraph had earlier reported that the social critic was arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Police for allegedly exposing a criminal act on Sunday over alleged defamation.

Debunking the claims. the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said Verydarkman was only invited for questioning.

She clarified that VDM was questioned over allegations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying and defamation of character and was released immediately after he made a statement on the allegations levelled against him by an individual.
