PDP Primary: I’ll Win Comfortably – Ajayi

Former Deputy Governor and governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Agboola Ajayi, has expressed optimism that he would win the primary election of the party with a comfortable margin.

New Telegraph reports that Ajayi and six others are jostling for the votes of 627 delegates to emerge as the party’s flag bearer in the November 16 governorship election in the state.

Speaking before the commencement of the primary election, Ajayi said he has gone around the 18 Local Government Areas to campaign to PDP members on why he remained the best option to rout the APC out of power.

The former Deputy Governor said the November poll would be a walkover for the PDP if the delegates lived up to their promises to vote for him.

He stated that he possessed the political will to turn the state around for the citizens to be happy.

His words, “You can see that the APC is already a divided house. The PDP needs a strong candidate like myself to secure victory.

“I am very optimistic of winning today’s primary. I have told the delegates my vision and mission and they know that I know how to take care of party members. They know I can make everybody happy.

“I have told them about my plans to develop infrastructure in the riverine communities. I assured them of plans to create jobs and make life meaningful for Ondo people.”
