PDP Needs People, Not Party Leaders To Win Election – Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said that the ultimate deciders of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State are the people who will decide the electoral fortune of the candidates vying for the governorship seat.

Adeleke, the chairman of the National Campaign Council of the PDP in the Ondo State election, asked members of the party to move from house to house to woo the electorate to the side of the party’s candidate, Hon. Agboola Ajayi. Speaking during the inauguration of the state’s campaign council, Adeleke said the party is the only progressive party in the country.

He said the winning template he used in Osun State had been given to Ajayi, and he would win if he followed it. Although he said it is difficult to defeat an incumbent in Africa, especially Nigeria, he however said that many incumbents have been defeated in the country, including the one in Osun State.

He said: “There should be no thuggery. We will base our campaign on issues. The people will decide. Go back to your constituencies and preach the gospel of the PDP to the people.”

Governor Adeleke said the PDP remains the only party that has been wiping away tears from the faces of the masses, while its rival, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is a party that operates like a cultist group with a retrogressive and parochial agenda.
