Amid the ongoing crisis in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the party’s Governors under the aegis of the PDP Governors’ Forum has directed all feuding members to revert to the status quo in a bid to resolved the disputes that have rocked the party in recent times.
The directive was issued on Tuesday by the forum’s Chairman and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, after a meeting that extended into the early hours of Tuesday, October 15.
Governor Mohammed who spoke with journalists, emphasized that while the disputes are natural within a political party like the PDP, they can always be resolved through internal mechanisms.
He assured members and supporters that there is no crisis within the party and that all stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees (BoT) and the National Assembly caucus, have reached a consensus.

“There is no crisis. The Governors, BoT, and the National Assembly caucus have agreed that the National Working Committee (NWC) should revert to status quo,” Mohammed stated.
As part of the resolution, Mohammed confirmed that all suspensions previously issued have been nullified.
This move is seen as a step toward fostering unity and ensuring the party remains strong ahead of upcoming political events.
PDP has faced internal tensions, but the decision by the Governors Forum is expected to restore order and provide a path for reconciliation among aggrieved members.
This latest development underscores the commitment of the party leadership to maintain peace and cohesion within its ranks.
