According to the opposition party, Ogun is the only state that is without a legislative arm as of today. The PDP said: “This act is evidently contrary to Governor Abiodun’s claim that Ogun State should be awarded the pillar of democracy as claimed while giving his address on June 12.

“Unfortunately, he is destroying the same pillar he wanted the state to be awarded for. As a matter of fact, he has just destroyed the pillar that our great heroes, Chief MKO Abiola, Chief Bisi Onabanjo, and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, among others, built.
