Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, better known as Rude Boy, has listed stringent conditions for signing new artists to his record label, Fire Department Inc.
New Telegraph reports that Rudeboy launched Fire Department Inc. in 2019, two years after the breakup of his iconic group formed with his twin brother, Peter Okoye, Psquare.
However, the duo reunited in November 2021, but their reconciliation was short-lived, as they have been at loggerheads lately.
In an Instagram Live session, Rudeboy said some Nigerian artists develop a sense of entitlement when they achieve fame and claim they do not need a record label.

He said prospective artists looking to join his label must agree to his terms, which include providing guarantees like landed property and having their parents co-sign a binding contract.
He added that the artiste would be handed a N10 million fine any day he is caught smoking.
He said, “Some people just believe say they don big pass record label. So I will tell you my demands now. You go bring landed properties, your parents go sign.
“The day I catch you dey smoke one thing as my artiste, minus N10 million. That is why if you continue asking me when I am going to sign artists I will tell you I do not know.”
