Idealab Agency, the Federal Government’s body empowered by the Bank of Industry (BoI) to train and recruit agents for local and international jobs, export talents and commodities by providing access to grants and loans has urged members of the National Assembly to patronise “Made in Nigeria” goods and services in order to create more and sustain existing ones.
Chairman of the agency, Christiana Oluwatoyin and its Director General and Chief Executive (DG/ CEO), Emmanuel Aondoakaa, made the call yesterday at a press briefing at the National Assembly.
Aondoakaa said the lawmakers as representatives of the people need to get involved in policies and programmes that will empower the masses and improve their situation in the face of the current economic challenges facing Nigerians.
He said the agency has plans for a robust partnership with various stakeholders for the disbursement of various grants, aid, scholarships, market access, employment placements and loan programs facilitations as well as special digital skills training.
“This partnership solicitation has become necessary because of the current reality in the economy where so many Nigerians are facing severe difficulties.”
