PAP Phase 2 Election: Moturu Assures Of All-Inclusive Leadership

Kingsley Moturu, one of the leading aspirants vying for the post of National Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phase 2, has assured delegates that his leadership style will be an all-inclusive leadership if voted for.

Addressing delegates on Wednesday in Yenagoa as part of his ongoing campaigns, he said as somebody who has been in the struggle, he is not oblivious to the enormous challenges confronting them, hence seeking their votes come July 1st 2024 when the election will be taking place.

Moturu said if elected he is going to ensure that he collaborates with the Presidential Amnesty office to bring the needed development where needed.

The Peace Ambassador further commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for appointing Dennis Otuaro, who he believes is a good man who will give them a listening ear for the betterment of the region.

He said “I’m happy that someone who understands the system has come on board. So we will be privileged to work with him, I believe things will change because it has been a long they deployed people to schools and vocational training, infact the amnesty has lost sight before this man came in.

Enumerating his achievements while reigning as the Delta State Phase 2 Chairman, Moturu said through his efforts many youths went abroad for studies, training as well as getting vocational skills.

On his part, the Bayelsa State Chairman of Presidential Amnesty Programme Phase 2, Paul Johnson who presided over the meeting said there had been a lot of threats prior to the meeting while giving thanks to God that in the end, everything went peacefully.

The State Chairman commended the government of Bayelsa State, security agencies, and the media amongst others for ensuring that there is peace.

He said “Four persons are contesting for the position of national chairman It is the hope of Johnson that the best aspirants win. Hinting that the challenges confronting the amnesty programme are enormous, he said they need someone who will surmount the challenges.

Also speaking, General Last Don Thomas, a stakeholder, ascribed the sterling qualities of the aspirant and called on all to support his chairmanship position as the national chairman.

Thomas said while the chairmanship hopeful was the state chairman in Delta State he went as far as solving problems of people from other states, hence he believes if elected Moturu will perform to the satisfaction of all.

“So for me, he is capable of becoming the chairman, for me, he has my vote because I cannot vow for everybody. My vote is going for him.
