
Bandits armed with dangerous weapons invaded Dan-Ali, a community in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State, on Friday, disrupting Jummat prayers in multiple mosques.
The assailants reportedly stormed the area, firing sporadically and causing panic among worshippers, who fled for safety.
According to a community source who confirmed the incident to newsmen, the attack left residents in fear as the gunmen continued their rampage.

The source, who chose to remain anonymous, appealed for urgent intervention from security agencies, noting that the bandits have been terrorizing the communities for over a week.
“The bandits have been preventing farmers from accessing their farmlands in Dan-Ali and surrounding areas, including Gwarjo, Dangane, Tudun, Tasha Kadanya, and Tasha Biri,” the source explained, describing the dire situation facing the local population.
Meanwhile, the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, has yet to issue an official statement on the incident at the time of filing this report. Residents continue to live in fear as they await reinforcements from security agencies to restore peace and order in the affected areas.
